Tiger Woods is hoping to win another Green Jacket at the Masters

Woods returned to form this week with a stunning second place a the Valspar Championship.

Paul Cassey managed to hold off the 14-time Major champion with Woods needing to birdie the 18th to force a play-off.

He came up just short but still managed his best result since 2013.

It was a remarkable return to form after 24 months in the wilderness through injury and off the course problems.

He has undergone three back surgeries and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs.

Dash cam footage from a police car was leaked to the media and made headlines around the world after showing Woods disorientated and struggling to walk in a straight line.

But Woods was able to show some of the golfing brilliance that saw him win 79 Tour titles and more than $350m in prize money.

He will tee it up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week looking to continue his return to form and has been installed as the second favourite to win another title at Augusta National.

Woods cannot explain his sudden return to form, but reckons the most fabled course on the planet can bring out the best in him.

He said: "There is no place like it. It has a special place in my heart.

"From the time I first won there, to the other times I won the Green Jacket. Nothing compares to Augusta National.

"If I knew I'd tell you. I just don't know. It just happened. I was living in so much pain it didn't know it.

"Now I don't feel like I'm swinging as hard, but still producing good club speed."
